“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” – Dr. Seuss (link to quote HERE)

What is your favorite Dr. Seuss book? Or maybe you have a favorite Dr. Seuss character? For most of us, Dr. Suess has been a part of our childhood in some form or fashion. Whether you watched movies based on his stories or read his books, we are familiar with the Grinch, the Lorax, and Green Eggs and Ham.

Many of Dr. Seuss’s books are truly classics at this point! Oftentimes, I’ve even seen Oh, the Places You’ll Go! as a favorite book to be given to graduates. Dr. Seuss’s stories and characters have become both nostalgic and timeless.

With all of that in mind, we will be taking a look at 50 fun Dr. Seuss crafts and activities for preschoolers or young kids. In preview, we will be looking at a “cat in the hat” craft, a “green eggs and ham” activity, and even one that involves truffula trees and both red fish and blue fish. I hope that we will cover most of your favorite characters from the beloved books and movies and that your children will have so much fun with these 🙂

Before we jump into all the activities and crafts, we will take a deeper look at Dr. Seuss and the significance of his contribution to literature.

Dr. Seuss’s full name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, and Dr. Seuss’s birthday was March 2, 1904 (Biography.com Editors, link HERE). Altogether, he published over 60 books over the course of his lifetime. A few of his most popular books would be The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, Green Eggs and Ham, and Horton Hears a Who! just to name a few.

Since this post is all about Dr. Seuss’s books, I did want to go ahead and include a list of some of the more well-known Dr. Seuss classics. These are affiliate links which means that I do get a small commission (at no additional cost to you), if you order through my link 🙂
