Getting the right insurance

When it comes to insurance, we make it easy for nurses once they have completed our courses.

All courses we provide have been approved by multiple insurers. The full list:

  • Hamilton Fraser
  • Enhance Insurance
  • Lonsdale

This approval means that the nurses we train can start offering aesthetic treatments to their patients straight away – with no legal or administrative complications.

Advanced aesthetic nursing courses – build on what you already know

If you’re a non-prescribing nurse already trained in some popular non-surgical treatments and you wish to learn more, then we also teach advanced techniques.

Our advanced training courses can take you further, giving you a competitive edge and cover procedures including:

  • Hyperhidrosis
  • Scar correction
  • Brow lifting
  • Jawline definition

You can choose between our Advanced Aesthetic Training Course or our Advanced Cannula Training Course.

Or, if you would like to gain a unique understanding of how aesthetic treatments are best incorporated into a clinic, we run special observation evenings for past delegates that afford an insight into the way that Dr Hennessy BDS works.

We even offerbespoke one-to-one training. This is a course that can be completely tailored to your current level of knowledge and experience to ensure that you achieve your own, personal goals.

More about our aesthetic nursing courses

Apart from the medical side of aesthetic training, we also look at the commercial side of administering these treatments.

On our courses, we always dedicate a portion of the teaching time to advising our nurses on how to be commercially successful using the techniques that they have learnt with us.

This means that from the moment you leave our academy, you will not only be completely confident in performing the treatments, but you will have a head-start in business and be ready to take full financial advantage of what is now a very lucrative market.

Freedom from NHS constraints

Moving from the NHS into the aesthetic industry as a nurse will look one of two ways:

  • You are a qualified prescriber and can open your own clinic, or
  • You are not a qualified prescriber and will need to work with another clinic.

Having your own clinic will be very different from working in the NHS. You will be self employed and the owner of your own business. Knowing that you don’t have any more red-tape to work around is an incredibly freeing feeling.

Working for another clinic will also be a very different feeling than working at the NHS. Bureaucracy, government cuts, and impossible deadlines will be a thing of the past.

As a qualified nurse, you won’t struggle to find an employer. All aesthetic clinics understand the benefits of hiring nurses that already have medical training and experience developing communication and organisational skills by working with patients in the NHS.

Frequently Asked Questions by Nurses

The Combined Botox and Dermal Filler Training Course is led by Dr Hennessy himself with the assistance of Mrs Alisha Stonier RGN NIP. On our advanced courses, Dr Hennessy is the sole trainer.

We keep our training group sizes quite small and split into two groups of five so you can ask any questions that you may have during the course.

Dr Hennessy rotates between groups to give everyone the opportunity to speak to the leading expert in dermal fillers and the namesake for ‘The Hennessy Lift’.

We offer details of prescribers to any non-prescribers that complete our courses.

In some cases, you will be given details of prescribers in your area or companies that can source prescribers for you.

For more information about any of our aesthetic training, or to book your place on a course today, give us a call on 01704 567557.

We look forward to hearing from you.

We believe that as a nurse you are the pride of our NHS. We love the work that you do and we think that you deserve more for the blood, sweat and tears that you put into helping the general public.

If you decide that it’s time to be financially compensated for the service that you’ve done for our country then we don’t blame you.

The facial aesthetics industry can provide you with the chance to increase your income by a large margin, as well as offering you more sociable working hours, while letting you use some of the skills that you have cultivated through working for the NHS.

You will still be working and interacting directly with patients which we know to be one of the factors that nurses love most about their current job. These patients will hopefully become repeat customers and you can make some great friends and meet some lovely people when working as an aesthetic nurse.

During your course we will perform a Starting in Aesthetics talk which will go through all the necessary skills you need to start your own business and give you some advice on the best ways to promote yourself in the industry. For now, some quick tips we can give you are:

  • Use social media to market yourself and obtain clients,
  • Keep in contact with clients after their procedure so they can promote your work,
  • Complete some of our follow up advanced courses so you can offer more specialist procedures than other clinics.
