New restaurant entering food hall

Chef Lo on the Go will be a new restaurant concept inside the Main Street Food & Beverage Food Hall, taking the place of the current NOMOD. Chef Cory Wildy is the current chef at NOMOD, but will be rolling the venue into his own concept as of June 14, serving items such as fries, creative burgers, Cajun catfish and other sandwiches.

The Main Street Food & Beverage Food Hall is at 900 Main St.

Downtown Evansville Night Market

The first of 2024's Downtown Evansville Night Markets will happen on Friday, June 14, from 5-8 p.m. on the 900 block of Main Street. Attendees can shop local makers and vendors, produce and food goods, and enjoy food trucks, live music and more. Future night markets will happen on Friday, Aug. 9, on Sixth Street between Sycamore and Locust streets; and Friday, Nov. 1. on Fourth Street from Locust to Chestnut streets.

Evansville Food Truck Festival

The 7th Annual Evansville Food Truck Festival will happen on Sunday, June 16, from 1-8 p.m. at Bosse Field. Over 30 food trucks and vendors will be on hand to serve diners $5 sampling-sized specialties in addition to their normal full menus.

Craft beer and wine will be available for purchase. Look for games and kids' activities, a cornhole tournament, free parking and more. Tickets start at $10 and include a ticket to a future Evansville Otters game.

Progressive dinner to benefit The Arc of Evansville

Haynie’s Corner will be the site of a progressive dinner to benefit The Arc of Evansville on Thursday, June 20, beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at premium level for $100 with dinner beginning at 6 p.m., or at value level for $50 with dinner beginning at 6:45 p.m. The evening starts at Schymik's Kitchen for appetizers and a main course, continues to Spankey's Una Cafe for dessert, and finally to Mo's House for after-dinner drinks.

A conversation with Arc's executive director and a swag bag are included. For more details on ticket options, call 812-428-4500 ext. 307.

Juneteenth Celebration

The 5th annual Juneteenth Community Block Party will happen at Bayard Park on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and coolers and enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, retail vendors, kids' activities and more.

Dinner on the Bridge

The Old National Events Plaza will present a Dinner on the Bridge with Bourbon pairings on Saturday, June 15, at 7 p.m.

Bourbon Blog's Tom Fischer will be in the house to host and talk about his favorite subject: Bourbon. On the menu will be individual charcuterie boards, crawfish and smoked corn chowder, a mini wedge salad with maple bacon Bourbon vinaigrette, grilled ribeye cap with bacon wrapped mashed potatoes and charred shish*to peppers with Bourbon sauce, and a Bourbon soaked apple galette.

Tickets are $129 per person or $250 per couple.

Prime Time wine dinner

The Prime Time Pub & Grill North will host a wine tasting dinner with The Wine Vault featuring wines from Daou Vineyards on Tuesday, June 18, beginning at 6 p.m. Bruschetta, Strawberry Fields salad, stuffed mushrooms, Chicken Wellington and chocolate mousse will be served with complementary wines. Tickets are $80 and include tax and gratuity.

Indonesian specials at Osaka

Osaka Restaurant in Newburgh is offering new Indonesian specials in June, including cemilan bakso ($8.95) − chicken meatball skewers coated with noodles; and mie ayam ($12.59) − stir fried chicken, bean sprouts and leafy greens atop noodles with a fried won ton.

New Evening farmers market and food truck gathering

The Vanderburgh County 4-H Center is hosting Truck'n Tuesdays beginning every Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. through November. It will be an evening farmers' and vendors' market located near the 4-H Activity Center with a gathering of 6-8 food trucks for the first weeks, with more added as the season progresses if crowds grow.

The Vanderburgh County 4-H Center is at 201 E. Boonville-New Harmony Road.

W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival

The W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival will happen in Henderson, Ky., beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 and continuing through Saturday, June 15. The free event showcases live music, food trucks and a beer garden. Thursday, June 13 is Zydeco Night and the menu will be red beans & rice, jambalaya, Cajun sausage and sausage, served up in Rex Jewell's Red Beans & Rice tent.

The W.C. Handy Blues and BBQ Festival will happen in Audubon Mill Park at 101 N. Water St. in Henderson, Kentucky.
