How to get the Legendary Netrunner Set in Cyberpunk 2077 (2024)

This is a detailed guide showing you where and how to obtain all parts of the Legendary Netrunner Armor / Outfit / Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077!

This guide is up-to-date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.12

Please note that with Update 2.0 CD Projekt RED removed stats and armor from almost all clothing pieces. The images showing the clothes in this guide are from before 2.0. The method of obtaining them has not changed, though!

Clothes, Armor and Outfits Sets in Cyberpunk 2077

The game doesn’t have armor sets with set bonuses like other traditional RPGs have. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Armor Sets are a great example of how armor sets usually work in such games.

Here in Cyberpunk you can still get a full set of clothing, but they will each serve their own purpose while at least looking super cool put together as a whole outfit. There are six slots for clothes you can put on your character, but not all sets include items for all six slots:

• Head
• Face
• Outer Torso
• Inner Torso
• Legs
• Feet

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.6added theWardrobe feature, which allows you to wear outfits and look the way you want, while still getting the best stats from the (often) ugly clothes you equip in your gear slots.

Feel free to choose whatever item you like for the slots that do not have themed clothing to complete the outfit in your own way. The Legendary and Iconic Items Locations guide is at your service!

Note: I am calling this an “armor set”, but it could be described also as a “clothing set” or just “outfit”. Because the term “armor set” is the most popular one in the RPG genre, I will refer to this set as such from now on. And it does provide the armor stat for your character, of course.

Who are the Netrunners in the Cyberpunk universe?
The original universe of Cyberpunk is designed as world from the future, but as seen from the eyes of the people from the 80s. In the Cyberpunk 2077 game the netrunners are a a relatively close to what today we call “hackers”, but not quite, because The Net in Cyberpunk is vastly different than the world wide web we have today. Netrunners are the guys who know how to use and infiltrate any device, manipulate the implants on other people around them and they also know best how to sneak and roam into the cyberspace without being caught.

When can you get the Netrunner Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077?
You can get these before or after you complete the main story line of the game. Each item is available in a different place/spot and some times they are gated behind a job (mission) you need to complete to obtain them. The relationship between the item and the job that you need to finish to make it spawn may not be direct, but the item/s may not spawn in the designated location until you complete a certain job. All items from this set are located in the free world and are not directly related to a job.

When should you get the Netrunner Clothing Set?
As soon as possible. If you cover the Level requirements for the missions and items to spawn for you, there is no reason to delay obtaining them. The highest level requirement is 30 – for the pants.

How to get the Netrunner Armor Set

You can get different visual types of clothes based on your gender. This applies mostly to the legs, shoes and inner torso items, but not only. The item will have the same name, but the last word would be different some times based on that what gender your V is. Example: The same location for an item from this set may yield pants for male V, but skirt for female V. This is coded in the game and you cannot change it.

There is a chance some times some items to spawn as Epic, not as Legendary. Usually that happens to items that are located on bodies of enemies you have just defeated or in containers and boxes. Items found on bodies of NPCs that you did not defeat yourself, but found them like this, will always spawn as Legendary.

Then comes the trick to get the Legendary item with as many mod slots as possible. This also requires you to make a save before picking up the item and reloading until you get it with max number of slots.

Antisurge ice-protected Netrunner infovisor (Face)

Found in the metal container at the end of Reported Crime: Death from Above in the Badlands.

Alongside the road in the Badlands, south from Pacifica and east from the Abandoned Fuel Station fast travel point there is a burned car with a corpse next to it. Loot it and read the shard.

This will star a Reported Crime: Delivery From Above mission. You will now have a location to check out. It’s a little to the north from the Abandoned Fuel Station fast travel point.

The contents of the container will be randomized, but there will always be a Netrunner infovizor inside.

Netrunner Outer Torso

There are a number of jackets you can use to replace the currently still missing Outer Torso slot for the netrunner set. Use the Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary and Iconic Gear Locations guide.

Heat-Resistant Hybridweave Netrunning Suit (Inner Torso)

This item is available for free loot from a body in a small metal hut in The Glen, in Heywood. It’s very close to the Megabuilding H2 fast travel point. It requires level 30 to wear.

Easiest approach is from the road, shown on the map below. Stand in the marked location and look north.

Directly ahead is a metal shack with big orange pipe going along on its right side. Go to the back of the shack and find the hole in the bottom. Crouch to enter and walk to the second room, where you will find a corpse with the precious loot

Dura-Membrane Netrunner NeoTac Pants (Legs)

The pair of pants is on the top of what appears to be a water tower in the roof of a building.

The location of this one is just east from an Organized Crime event in Northside, Watson. The Docks is a close fast travel point., a bit to the north from the item’s location.

There are two identical towers, this is the north one, the one with the yellow motorcycle at the bottom of the stairs.

Hardened Netrunner Boots with Composite Inserts (Feet)

These legendary boots are found on a body inside a shaft in Charter Hill, Westbrook.

The location is close to the Luxury Apartments fast travel point. From there head south on Grand Ave and turn right on the next crossroad.

There’s another body dressed in purple and pink right at the top of the shaft, where the entrance is. It’s just near the sidewalk.
